Force Sensitive Resistor FSR402
The Force Sensitive Resistor FSR402 is a type of sensor that is used to detect and measure force or pressure. The FSR402 is a specific type of FSR that is designed to be sensitive to relatively small forces, making it suitable for use in applications where high sensitivity is required.
FSRs consist of a conductive material, such as carbon or metallic particles, that is embedded in a flexible polymer substrate. When a force is applied to the FSR, it deforms the substrate, causing the conductive material to make contact with additional areas of the substrate. This increases the overall conductivity of the FSR, allowing a current to flow through it. By measuring the change in conductivity of the FSR, it is possible to determine the magnitude of the force being applied to it.

Force-sensitive switches, touch displays, pressure sensors, and other devices all frequently employ FSRs. They are frequently used in conjunction with microcontrollers or other electronic circuits that can detect and measure force or pressure by detecting changes in the conductivity of the FSR.
An electrical circuit that can measure the conductivity of the FSR and a power source must be connected in order to use an FSR402. The conductivity will rise when a force is applied to the FSR, and the electronic circuit will notice this change and send a signal indicating the strength of the force. The Force Sensitive Resistor FSR402 can then be used to trigger an alarm, activate a control system, or perform other functions depending on the specific application.
