Solar Home Kit (Junior) is the first dedicated Solar Kit for Kids (STEM Kit) developed in Bangladesh. Children can use this kit to make their own home and use solar power to use lights and a fan. This educational kit for children includes a project book using which kids can learn about basic electronics and will be able to do various experiments. Children will practically learn about solar power and how solar power works. Along with the joy of playing, children can gain knowledge too. What is Solar Energy?

Solar energy is light, heat, and other forms of energy given off by the Sun. Solar energy can be collected and used to heat buildings and to make electricity. Solar radiation also known as electromagnetic radiation is light that is emitted by the sun. While every location on Earth receives some sunlight over a year, the amount of solar radiation that reaches any one spot on the Earth’s surface varies. Solar technologies capture this radiation and turn it into useful forms of energy. We can also use solar energy to make electricity. The process is called photovoltaics. If you have a solar-powered watch or calculator, you’re using photovoltaics!

The amount of sunlight that strikes the earth’s surface in an hour and a half is enough to handle the entire world’s energy consumption for a full year. Solar technologies convert sunlight into electrical energy either through photovoltaic (PV) panels or through mirrors that concentrate solar radiation. This energy can be used to generate electricity or be stored in batteries or thermal storage.

সৌর শক্তি কি?
