Micro USB PWM Signal Generator Module

A Micro USB PWM Signal Generator Module is an electronic module that generates a Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) signal and is powered or controlled via a Micro USB connector.

Frequency is divided into three ranges:

1.XXX (no decimal point): the smallest unit is 1Hz, the range 1Hz ~ 999Hz; 2.XX.X (decimal point in ten): The minimum unit is 0.1Khz; the range of 0.1KHz ~ 99.9KHz 3.X.X.X. (there are three decimal point): the smallest unit is 1Khz; the range 1KHz ~ 150KHz

Frequency display example:

“100” indicates that the PWM output pulse of 100Hz; “54.1” indicates that the PWM output pulse of 54.1KHz; “1.2.4.” Indicates that the PWM pulse output 124KHz Duty Cycle in the range: 0 to 100; Three frequencies duty cycle is the same, all the parameters non-volatile.

A Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) signal generator works by varying the duty cycle of a square wave while keeping the period fixed. The hardware PWM generator was designed for implementation on a Xilinx XC4005XL FPGA. It contains circuitry that allows easy interface to an 8051 microcontroller. The rate (or frequency) at which the power supply must switch can vary greatly depending on load and application.
PWM is used in many applications, ranging from communications to power control and conversion. For example, the PWM is commonly used to control the speed of electric motors, the brightness of lights, in ultrasonic cleaning applications, and many more.
The main advantage of PWM is that power loss in the switching devices is very low. When a switch is off there is practically no current, and when it is on and power is being transferred to the load, there is almost no voltage drop across the switch
