A flame sensor is a detector, designed to detect and respond to the presence of a flame or fire. This types of sensor can be used for detecting fire in a short range. You can able to find mostly accurate result upto about 3 feet of distance. This sensor is very sensitive to the IR wavelength at 760 nm ~ 1100 nm light. By adjusting the potentiometer you can set a predefined threshold level. If the sensing signal level is higher than the predefined threshold level, the module output pin (named as “D0”) goes to LOW, where as the default status of D0 is HIGH.
Specification:
- Operating voltage:3.3V-5V
- Using LM393 comparator with wide voltage
- A small panel output interface can be directly connected with the micro controller IO port
- With an adjustable precision potentiometer to adjust the sensitivity
- The flame sensor is most sensitive to flame and it will also respond to ordinary light, generally used in fire alarm and other purposes.
- A small panel output interface can be directly connected with the microcontroller IO port.
- The sensor should be kept a certain distance from the flame, so as not to damage the sensor because of high temperature.
- the test distance for the lighter flame should be 80cm,the larger the flame, the larger the test distance.
- Small plates analog output mode and the AD conversion process can help get higher accuracy.
- Can detect the flame or the light with the wavelength at the range of 760 nm to 1100 nm.
- The detection angle is about 60 degrees, extremelty sensitive to the flame spectrum.
- Sensitivity is adjustable. (shown in blue digital potentiometer)
- The comparator output with clean signal, good waveform, strong driving ability of more than 15mA.
- With an adjustable precision potentiometer to adjust the sensitivity.
- Operating voltage:3.3V-5V.
- A fixed bolt hole is set for easy installation.
- Using LM393 comparator with wide voltage.
